Programs Committee

The Programs Committee oversees the planning and execution of the organization’s annual events and community initiatives. Responsibilities include managing logistics and programming for service-based events like MLK Day and Black History Month, as well as professional outreach through Career Day and Black Energy Awareness Month (BEAM). Additionally, the committee is responsible for the coordination of the annual Energy Ball fundraiser.

About the Energy Ball

The establishment of the Roberta Hughes Wright Memorial Golf Classic amplifies the Women's Committee's efforts to support the Charles H. Wright Museum. The goal is to make this an event for years to come, anticipated by golfers from Michigan and around the United States. The golf classic is possible with the Wright Museum partnership with Detroit Memorial Park. Proceeds provide operating support & funding for children’s educational programs at the Wright Museum
