American Association of Blacks in Energy Michigan Chapter
Welcome Message
Greetings AABE® Members, Friends and Visitors:
My name is Ernest Owens Jr., President of the Michigan Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE®).
I am currently a leader at ITC Holdings, a Fortis company, and come with over 20 years of power experience from various levels of the Energy Sector, from Utilities and Reliability Coordinator affairs. As an AABE member for over 10 years, from the east coast to here in Michigan, I see AABE as family. As President, I look forward to continuing to build our community engagement, networking with members and their companies, and developing our chapter to be a resource for both the members and the communities that we serve and, most importantly, to the future pipeline of youth that we inspire.
I encourage all professionals to come and be a part of this non-profit organization, which has created a culture of opportunities in energy and addressing the transition challenges that we are facing across the industry. Learn more about AABE.
