Empowering Future Energy Leaders Through AABE's Enrichment Program
AABE Michigan is committed to cultivating the next generation of energy professionals through its dynamic Energy Enrichment Program. This initiative is designed to ignite an early interest in energy careers among minority students, starting from middle school (ages 10 and up), and guide them along a clear pathway to success.
Our mission is to create a robust "bucket pipeline" of educated and qualified students who will become valuable assets to energy-driven companies within AABE's extensive local and national network. We aim to achieve this by:
Early Engagement: Introducing middle school students (6th-8th grade) to the foundational concepts of energy and potential career paths.
Developing Future Leaders: Nurturing high school students (9th-12th grade) to become high-energy entrepreneurs and corporate leaders within the energy sector.
Guiding Career Journeys: Supporting college students and recent graduates with insights into the energy industry, facilitating internships, co-op opportunities, and job placement, while fostering long-term career retention. Our goal is to streamline this process through a dedicated app, enhancing networking and opportunity sharing.
